Jetta Van Hemert

Jetta van Hemert has been a physical therapist since 1983, a Rosen Method Movement teacher since 2002, and a Rosen Method Bodywork practitioner since 2003. Her journey into Rosen Method began when she felt a deep connection to its potential for healing, integrating it into her existing physical therapy practice. Over the years, she has dedicated herself to expanding access to Rosen Method as an alternative healthcare modality. Recognizing the need for a strong community of support, Jetta became actively involved in the Rosen Method Peer Gatherings, a space for practitioners to connect, exchange ideas, and build their practices together. She has participated in all Global Conferences to date, presenting about connection building within the Rosen Community.

Since 2008, Jetta has played a key role in the revival of the Rosen Method Professional Association (RMPA) in North America. Initially serving as recording secretary and later as chairperson, she has been instrumental in reigniting the organization after a 10-year hiatus. Through her efforts, RMPA has become a vital network for practitioners seeking collaboration and professional growth. Jetta has also been teaching Rosen Movement classes for almost two decades at her local senior center and, more recently, online. She lives in Montara, California, with her partner Joe and their beloved dog Tito.
